Come Friday you’ll be able to add this year’s Holiday Catalog from Stampin’ Up! to your viewing and shopping pleasure. Here is a small taste of what to expect…

There are soooo many delights in this Holiday Catalog my bank account is already quivering with anticipation of being depleted!

Once the children are back in school next week I’ll be sending out catalogs to all those who requested to be kept on my mailing list. Please message me if you would like to confirm or add your name and address to the list.

Oh, and have yourself an... Inkee Fiddling Day!

Shine! (Freshly Made Sketches 302)

Posted on

Think I may have missed the deadline on this card challenge but that’s okay as I’ve made a card regardless and THAT’S what’s important! This is the card I created for Freshly Made Sketches 302.

If I said I’m not deliberately choosing pinks each week I fear you wouldn’t believe me. Summer 2017 has certainly become my “pink phase“. 😂 Here is this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

With the exception of the Shine sentiment all products are from Stampin’ Up!. The Colour Theory DSP in the 6″x6″ packs are simply delightful, offering lots of inspiration.

And don’t get me started on the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush… it. is. FABULOUS! Seriously, I don’t know how I’ve been surviving without it. Contact me soon to order yours for Christmas creating!

Pretty Pink (Freshly Made Sketches #301)

Posted on

My good intentions for completing one or two cards during the week, at my leisure, are once again out the window as here it is Sunday afternoon with the clock ticking. Therefore without further ado, this is my card.

And this is the original 301 sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. As you can see, I rotated my card to stand upright. Landscape just wasn’t working for me today.

Isn’t the pink foil on kraft cardstock just the nicest? It’s a fabulous DSP package that’s available in the current annual catalog from Stampin’ Up!

Remember, you can always order from me if you’d like to add some to your stash… I’m only to happy to help!😆

Golden Lighthouse Ray (SIP Challenge #111)

What’s that saying? Plan your work then work your plan. Yeah sure. Whoever said that obviously never experienced a summer-staycation where all sense of time is lost!

This week’s challenge from Stamp, Ink, Paper is… BEACH! Initially I wasn’t going to partake as I have no beachy stamps. Then as I was clearing my workbench I saw “High Tide” and thought, why not! Here is my card.

Please click on the link above if you’d like to join in with the weekly challenges or to simply see all the wonderful interpretations there are for each challenge.

Unbelievably, here it is Sunday and I’ve done BOTH of the new card challenges I’ve found this last week on the same day, today, instead of paced out during the week as planned. Dang it!

The silver-lining is of course is that today I’ve made two cards – that’s twice as many as last week so I’m more than happy, lol!

Butterfly Textures (Freshly Made Sketches 300)

Posted on

You know you have it bad when the first thing you think of on waking is “how can I tweak that card-front base to make it work“. And the really hilarious thing is that even the tweak was tweaked!😂

Immediately adhering the base is not something I would usually do and am really not sure what made me do this. It made things that much more difficult in the end. Here is my take on this week’s Freshly Made Sketches 300.

This is the original sketch from Freshly Made Sketches which was my inspiration.

With a little masking, some silver embossing, a strip of foil cut with thinlets, along with a thinlets butterfly “splashed inked” and blinged up and voila, done!
