One color, Two tones!

Posted on

Isn’t this sample from Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team member Angela Meiritz-Reid simply beautiful? And can you believe that she has used only one color for each butterfly?

Angela says “solid images can be stamped alone, without the outlined images, to create a look of their own. First to get a lighter shade, stamp off on scrap paper, then roll the edges of the stamp on the ink pad to create a two-tone effect. Stamp onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, punch out the butterfly using the Butterfly Duet Punch and adhere to your project.” Voila!

What a great idea that can be applied to so many different stamps – flowers and sentiments instantly spring to mind. Time to begin experimenting!

Oh, and have yourself an... Inkee Fiddling Day!
