Hi, let me introduce myself… my name is Joanne Ritchie and I live here in Prince Rupert, overlooking its majestic harbour and all its islands in beautiful North-West Canada. With such an incredible backdrop, inspiration is easily found – both spiritually and creatively!

My home is completed by my darling hubster, my first-year university son, grade twelve daughter and two crazy fur-balls who came with us from Australia.

I stumbled onto card making by chance at a quilt show many years ago after watching some dry embossing workshops. Naturally I bought everything, took it all home and promptly forgot everything I’d only just learnt. However, the cardstock and embellishments were quickly used along with my fat quarters, no longer needed for quilting, to become backgrounds for my cards. Thus began my love of cardstock and patterned paper.

A good friend introduced me to Stampin’ Up! in 2007 in Iceland of all places. Her suitcases were bulging for her return to the States so being the good friend I was, I bought all her Stampin’ Up! supplies. Rubber stamps and inks were knew to me but I’d immediately fallen in love with the Stampin Up! color families. Oh the card-stock, the ink pads, the stamp sets… even the catalog excited me.

And now I am here… in Canada via Australia via Iceland via Australia, still clutching my Stampin’ Up! catalogs to my chest. I’ve rejoined and rejoined the Stampin’ Up! family and am now even more besotted with the Stampin’ Up! range if that’s possible!
