Berry Basket is Berry Nice!

Posted on

There’s was finally an opportunity for me to take the Berry Basket Bigz L Die on page 21 of the Occasions Catalog out of its packaging over the week-end and what fun I had!

I tried it three ways, the first was as is with Gold Glimmer Paper (which is now filled with chocolates in readiness for valentine’s) and then for the next two I wanted to see how it went with the smaller DSP stacks.

Berry Basket Extravaganza

The small green basket was my favorite in the end and only used 2 sheets of DSP stack by lining them up in the centre of the die, too easy!

DSP Stack rockin' the Berry Basket

There’s no denying it’s one of the more expenses dies being priced at $46.95 but the possibilities are endless and can be used for every occasion. It’s well worth the investment. Besides, you only need another $13.05 to have yourself a free Sale-a-Bration product. Now that’s GOT to be tempting, lol!

Letterpress Lanterns

For something a little different at a workshop last month, as the hostess had requested something for Christmas but didn’t actually specified a CARD, I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to do!

The Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Dies (135853 – $40.50) cut out in White Vellum Cardstock; then heat embossed in Gold Embossing Powder; then finished off with Gold 5/8″ Satin Ribbon, Gold 1/8″ Ribbon and Gold Sequin Trim. All this was then completed with a battery operated tea-light candle placed inside!

The lantern on the right I didn’t turn on, wanting to highlight how fabulous it looks if you wanted to use this Curvy Keepsake Box for something other than a lantern!

Halloween Wondrous Wreath

Posted on

The Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set  (135047 – $31.95) on page 9 of the Holiday Catalog has had to be one of my most “go to” stamp sets for this season. Hence it was my first choice to use in a workshop a few weeks.

The hostess had requested we make a Christmas Card but I really wanted to highlight other occasions you could utilize these stamps.

JIF - Wreath - Halloween

Making this Halloween Card I was reminded how this bird’s appearance could be altered so quickly merely by the placement of its wing. If the wing tip is placed up it makes the bird look cute. Where as placing the tip down and moving the larger part of the wing up, gives the bird a more sinister, Halloween appearance don’t you think?

A quick reminder the last order I’ll be placing for the year to ensure deliveries before Christmas will be taking place this evening should you wanted to add an order. HOWEVER , 24 Hour shopping is still available from my website!

Oh, and have yourself an... Inkee Fiddling Day!

Another fun and versatile stamp set for today’s 2-4-Tuesday is the Making Spirits Bright Stamp Set.

For the first card I used the Brushed Silver Cardstock as the base with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder. Real Read 3/8″ Satin Woven Ribbon adds a little pop against the All is Calm Specialty DSP. Blendabilites, Rhinestone Basic Jewels and Dazzling Diamond Glitter adding the final touch.
