Bright and Beautiful Star

Posted on

For today’s Die-Cut Thursday I thought I’d try something different with the Stars Framelits.

Instead of stamping then die-cutting, I die-cut a star then used it as a mask, sponging Pool Party Classic Ink within it. I then stamped in the same color a stamp from the Bright and Beautiful Stamp Set.

In the center of these stars I stamped the sentiment from the Bright and Beautiful Stamp Set then Silver Heat-Embossed it. The base and background of this card is Naturals White Cardstock. The card front framed in Pool Party Cardstock then Silver Foil Paper.

Tickled Pink Mojo

Posted on

When I first saw this week’s Mojo Monday sketch I was a tad hesitant but on looking at it again today, oh my gosh, it took absolutely NO time at all. This is my card.

Mojo362 - Flamingo Lingo - JIF

This is the sketch.

Mojo 362 SketchFor something different for my background I chose Brushed Silver Cardstock which I embossed with the Decorative Dots Embossed Folder. Then onto my cut Whisper White Cardstock I heat embossed one of the stamps from the Flamingo Lingo Stamp Set.

Over this I sponged Melon Mambo Classic Ink then stamped the flamingo in Melon Mambo Classic Ink onto a banner of Whisper White Cardstock.

After adhering this onto the Melon Mambo background I tied 1/8″ Silver Ribbon and 1/2″ Pink Pirouette Seam Binding Ribbon around the top then added the stamped banner Tickled Pink.

If you aren’t already aware Flamingo Lingo is this year’s Ronald McDonald House Stamp Set. So not only is it a super versatile stamp set but $3 from every stamp set sold goes towards the Ronald McDonald House Program. How wonderful is that?

Seasonally Scattered Snowflakes

Posted on

As promised, the third of the stamps from the Seasonally Scattered Stamp Set I’ve used today. Heat embossing “merry” in gold onto Cherry Cobbler Cardstock. Who knew there were so many snowflakes on this stamp?!

Seasonally Scattered - Merry - JIF

The Gold Embossing Powder wasn’t enough so I added some Golf Foil Paper behind the Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, then some Gold Glimmer Paper behind that but STILL this wasn’t enough!

Oh no, with more Gold Foil Paper I used the small snowflake die-cuts from the Snowflake Card Thinlets Dies and the bow from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies to add the finishing touches.

CARD RECIPE
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler
Stamp Set: Seasonally Scattered
Embossing: Versamark, Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Gun
Specialty Paper: Gold Foil, Gold Glimmer
Framelits: Snowflake Card Thinlets, Wonderful Wreath
Essentials: Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips, Sticky Strip,
Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, Stampin Scrub & Mist

Going for Gold!

Posted on

Today is Monday which means it’s Mojo Monday time, ready? Here is the sketch…

Mojo 340 SketchAnd here is my take on the sketch which certainly didn’t take me all week to find inspiration for this one. I was out of the starting blocks and running with it in no time at all thanks to the Washi Tape! My card base is Very Vanilla Cardstock with a layer of Primrose Petals Cardstock under the Gold Foil embossed with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder.

Mojo 340 - Going for Gold - JIFThe gold Washi Tape or as it’s referred to in the Celebrate the Everyday Catty, Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape, was my inspiration for this card. The tape was taken with me to the crop hoping to finally use it, which I didn’t, but as soon as I saw today’s sketch I knew it could be used! Onto a piece of Vanilla Cardstock I arranged and rearranged the Washi Tape finishing it with a piece of Primrose Petals 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon.Mojo 340 - Going for Gold - Washi Tape -JIF

The 1¾” circle is Champagne Glimmer Paper, the 1¼” circle is Gingham Garden DSP, and the 1″ circle was punched from Primrose Petals Cardstock then stamped in Gold Metallic Encore with a stamp from the A Round Array Stamp Set. The banner, also in Primrose Petals Cardstock was sponged and stamped also in Gold Metallic Encore with a stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set. A sentiment from the Loving Thoughts Stamp Set was heat embossed in gold.

FYI: The end of next month (May) will see the retirement of the 2012-2014 In-Colors of Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple (favorites of mine for Christmas, just sayin’), Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse and Primrose Petals. I know a few of you have already begun stocking piling these colors but it’s best to do this sooner rather than later, particularly if you require Ink Refills for your inks!

Eggstra Spectaular by Miss 10!

Posted on

Whilst I was maniacally working on the children’s 2012 Scrapbook Albums over the week-end, my Darling Daughter was busy working at the table across from me creating her own array of cards. This is a little card she made for Easter.

Thinking of Ewe by MMRAs you can see, she too has a love for the Stampin’ Spritzer, the more colors the better according to Young Miss, I’m not even going to BEGIN attempting all the colors she used, lol!

She also has a love of Heat Embossing – she Heat Embossed the sentiment and after stamping the ewe, circle punched it out, then embossed the edges also before adhering it to the card with Dimensionals. With the basket of eggs she patiently used the markers ensuring each egg, and the basket, were all different colors.

Am I proud? You bet and if you’d like to add this gorgeous Easter stamp set to your stash please call me to place your order – 250-632-7248!

Oh, and have yourself an... Inkee Fiddling Day!
