Celebrate Amazing You (#TGIFC142)

Posted on

Well, to say my day hasn’t gone as planned would be an understatement but I’ve now finally completed a card with my featured stamp set for this week, Amazing You, for a card challenge.

This is the new TGIF challenge that popped up in my email earlier this afternoon that I was determined to finish this evening. (My hopes are NOT high for tomorrow I fear.🤪)

Don’t forget the Amazing You Stamp Set is part of Sale-a-Bration as a Level 1 choice and the Celebrate You Thinlets as a Level 2 choice.

Celebrate Amazing You!

This week my featured stamp set is another Tier 1 Sale-a-Bration set Amazing You, plus the corresponding Tier 2 Thinlet set Celebrate You. Both are fabulous on their own or used together.

For this card I used one of the backgrounds I’ve made with the Brusho Crystal Colours available in the Occasions Catalog along with the couple of stamps from the Amazing You stamp Set.

The sketch I used for this card is that latest one from Freshly Made Sketches – Freshly Made Sketches 319.

Hope you’re all enjoying both the new Occasions and Sale-a-Bration Catalogs as much as I certainly am.

Just when I thought I had my Studio all set-up, now I need to find more space for even more stamp sets… WAY MORE then I’d planned!

Butterfly Textures (Freshly Made Sketches 300)

You know you have it bad when the first thing you think of on waking is “how can I tweak that card-front base to make it work“. And the really hilarious thing is that even the tweak was tweaked!😂

Immediately adhering the base is not something I would usually do and am really not sure what made me do this. It made things that much more difficult in the end. Here is my take on this week’s Freshly Made Sketches 300.

This is the original sketch from Freshly Made Sketches which was my inspiration.

With a little masking, some silver embossing, a strip of foil cut with thinlets, along with a thinlets butterfly “splashed inked” and blinged up and voila, done!

Dancing Dragonflies – SIP Challenge 110

In an attempt to reclaim my mojo I found a new weekly challenge over at Stamp, Ink, Paper to help. This week’s SIP Challenge #110 is all about Primary Colours – Red, Blue and Yellow. Here’s my take…

It’s embarrassing to admit but this one single card took an entire afternoon. Why I had to choose ink-painting and sponging for my “return” to card-making I really couldn’t say!
