MOJO Monday!

Posted on

With the end of the school year quickly approaching I’m finding it extremely difficult to keep on top of things. This includes a HUGE box of retired items – stamps, punches, ink pads, etc that I have FOR SALE that require listing. Goodness knows when that will be happening, hopefully soon as I keep adding more and more items to the box!

Anyways, its Monday so there’s a fresh MOJO Monday – here’s my interpretation. I’m loving this Soho Subway DSP which is even better in the flesh than in the book if that’s possible!

Morning Meadow - Mojo297 - JIF

This is this week’s sketch which instantly had the creative juices flowing albeit like a broken fire-hydrant, there was no particular direction for this flow…

I was trying my darnedest to make a masculine card, being Father’s Day this Sunday I was going to kill two birds with one stone, but then the circle scallops were doing my head in… I panicked… and I added flowers made from the Boho Blossom Punch with the all new gorgeous Strawberry Slush. Strawberry Slush… so NOT masculine čÖé

The square section for me resulted in more of a rectangle which was perfect sizing in the end for the Thank You stamp from the Morning Meadows stamp set. I inked up well for the first stamping in Raspberry Ripple then continued stamping without re-inking, or as its sometimes called, stamped-off, the sentiment.

I’ve also used the branch stamp set on the background of Always Artichoke in Always Artichoke Classic Ink so there was a little detail to be found but not overwhelmingly so.

FYI: Morning Meadows is a fabulous Hostess Set. Remember when hosting a party, once your sales reach $200 you will be eligible for your choice of Hostess Stamp Sets at a wonderfully discounted rate… just a little more incentive to host a party!

Two tidy rooms… too tired to think!

Posted on

It may have just been two rooms I sorted and rearranged but it feels as if I did the ENTIRE house! People think I’m just joking when I say I’m allergic to dust and mildew and the cleaning products that removes these things but I really am. So when I do do a major clean as I did just recently with the children’s bedrooms,┬áthe side effect is I feel as if I’m hung-over. Hence the reason I’m not the clean freak I used to be… and that’s my story and I’m sticking to it! čÖé

As always of course, I had one or three things on my list to do yesterday but I sat on the couch on the pretense of “sorting buttons” and that’s where I stayed until it was school run time. Even now I’m still toying with the idea of “sorting more buttons”┬áas my head is still swimming. But enough of my pity party!

Let’s bid a Fond Farewell to Colour #23 – Barely Banana. This colour goes exquisitely well with the chocolate chip and why wouldn’t it – chocolate and banana – yum. I can still taste the banana and nutella crepes that were being sold from little crepe stalls on the side-walks of Paris. I was so looking forward to sharing this treat with my family when we holidayed there a couple of years ago┬ábut┬áalas, I don’t know if it was because it was off-season or what, they just weren’t there…

The pattern on both the Barely Banana ┬áand the Chocolate chip was from the Illuminated Wheel which is… retiring! I think it’s safe to say if I like it, it’s retiring. Fortunately I’m too tired to get a complex about it!┬áIn the shoe I’ve put some delicious Lindt balls, and in the hand-bag are two hot chocolate sachets. Chocolate on chocolate – you have to like that!

Oh… I’ve just realised I don’t think I’ve mentioned these two items are┬áthis┬ámonth’s “Off the Page” class – named Sex in the City. I take no credit for that title, this belongs to Juliette Chapman, one of the incredibly talented┬áladies from the ESAD group I belong to.

Should you and a friend┬ábe interested in this class, or any class for that matter,┬áplease contact me and we’ll arrange a time suitable to us both. I understand time is precious to us all so if a class time just doesn’t work for you,┬ásimply call me and I’m sure something can be arranged!

Joke of the Day:

What do you put into a box to make it lighter?
A hole of course!

Oh, and have yourself an... Inkee Fiddling Day!
