Letterpress Lanterns

For something a little different at a workshop last month, as the hostess had requested something for Christmas but didn’t actually specified a CARD, I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to do!

The Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Dies (135853 – $40.50) cut out in White Vellum Cardstock; then heat embossed in Gold Embossing Powder; then finished off with Gold 5/8″ Satin Ribbon, Gold 1/8″ Ribbon and Gold Sequin Trim. All this was then completed with a battery operated tea-light candle placed inside!

The lantern on the right I didn’t turn on, wanting to highlight how fabulous it looks if you wanted to use this Curvy Keepsake Box for something other than a lantern!

Curvy Halloween Keepsake Box

With Halloween just four weeks away I couldn’t resist creating a Curvy Keepsake Box in readiness. With a little Back to Black DSP, some ribbon and the Merry Everything Bundle, it was NOT very difficult at all!

How cute is this? You could fill it up with candy for the children, or use it as a place-card for a dinner party filled with chocolates should you be treating yourself to a special Halloween Dinner.

Curvy Keepsake Box

What can I say but I LOVE the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die in the Holiday Catty. It is SO cute!

For this box I chose some of the Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper. This DSP is almost like a cardstock which makes it FABULOUS for creating boxes of any shape. PLUS it comes in TWELVE patterns, bonus!

The box itself take a matter of minutes to cut and create and for this one I finished it off with an assortment of ribbons – the Gold 5/8″ Satin Ribbon, Gold Sequin Trim, and Gold Metallic Bakers Twine with a Golf Foil Paper Die Cut also from this set.
