People Like You – Trio Tuesday!

Posted on

The People Like You Stamp is found in the Celebrate the Everyday Catalog (aka Spring Catalog) and at $15.95 I think it’s such great value. Dress it up or make it clean-cut and simple, either way it looks fabulous. The sentiment as you may have already noted co-ordinates with the Decorative Label Punch.

For my first card I have even stamped it onto Core’dinations Cardstock with Black StazOn for a wonderful effect. Sadly you’ll often find the textured cardstock doesn’t take to the Classic Inks nearly as well as the StazOn does.

People Like You - Early Espresso Pistashio Pudding - JIF

For the next card I was experimenting with stamping simply the top flower portion of the stamp ensuring the stamp could be more versatile. (I even attempted a 3-layer card with just that flower alone but…)

People Like You - Very Vanilla Cherry Cobbler - JIF

For something extremely clean-cut yet colorful I stamped People Like You in Black StazOn to be assured of a crisp image then simply framed each stamp in a different color. These four cards are all now housed in a box made with the super-cool Envelope Punch Board!

People Like You - Color Collection - JIFFYI though – it’s only available in wood and comes in a half-size wood mount box which always makes me chuckle to myself. I know, get a life huh?! 🙂

The Wondeful Gift of You!

Posted on

This card was actually the result of the Photopolymer card I showed you a couple of days ago. As I was searching for the right DSP to use on that card, I was reminded of this particular design and immediately began constructing a card around it.

Gifts of Kindness

As you can see I was so impressed with this design I haven’t even bothered with layering it, simply sponging the edges in Soft Suede. (I know, weird huh?) The stamp from Gifts of Kindness was stamped directly onto the DSP in Soft Suede Classic Ink which was pretty scary but well worth it for the over-all effect.

Stamping Directly onto DSP!

To a strip of cardstock I added sticky strip then added two strips of Baked Brown Sugar 3/8″ Ruffle Stretch Trim which I added to the bottom third of the card.

Lovely Label Sentiment

The sentiment I stamped in Soft Suede Classic Ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock and sponged with Soft Suede Classic Ink. The bottom section of the label was cut off before I tucked it under the ribbon. Sweet don’t you think?
