Autumn Tones

Perhaps I’m biased but this new Holiday Catalog from Stampin’ Up! would have to be one of my favorites. It’s like an Aladdin’s Cave as each time I go through it, I see something else.

Fall and Thanksgiving aren’t something celebrated in my part of Australia but I am slowly adapting. Especially when it comes to the gratitude I have towards all my “Inkee Fiddlers“.

This is just one of the cards I made (there were a few so changed some of them up slightly) to include with the new Holiday Catalog to thank all my wonderful customers on my mailing list for their continued support!

With this one note the Always Artichoke Cardstock decorations on each side. These are actually HOUSES from the Homemade Holiday Framelits. How’s that for versatility huh?! These were each finished off with a gold sequin from the 2013-2015 In-Color Sequin Assortment which is where the gold stars also originated.

Ray of Sunshine!

When I first saw this stamp set I couldn’t get my hands on it quick enough. Then it arrived. I circled it. I continued to circle it. I circled it some more. This week I finally stopped circling it.

My problem is that I cannot, and I mean CANNOT, associate the sun with any color other than yellow and as I’m not the most “yellow” of people, I find it difficult to work with this color (yellow and green should never be seen – is this an actual saying as it seems to apply to me, a LOT!).

Here is what I finally achieved. Note: all circles are YELLOW… ha!

Ray of Sunshine - Bloom of Hope - JIFTo be honest I actually like this card. The flower from Bloom with Hope Stamp Set has been colored with the new Melon Mambo Blendabilities which shall be available for purchase in TEN days (August 1st).

For this next card having chosen So Saffron and Tangelo Twist Cardstock, I then used those two colors in Classic Ink with a Gorgeous Grunge Stamp to create some depth to the Whisper White Cardstock background.

Ray of Sunshine - You ARE my sunshine - JIFThis third and final card has become a favorite of mine thanks to the A Happy Hooray Stamp Set. I’ve yet to decide if the image I’ve used as the background in Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink is a feather or a leaf skeleton, whichever it is, I LIKE IT! 🙂

Ray of Sunshine Mojo!

Inspiration came slowly for this week’s Mojo Monday. Several backgrounds were created until I settled on a DSP from the All Abloom DSP Stack and voila. This is my interpretation of this week’s sketch.

mojo355It’s incredible how much the background “creates” the card as such. In this background there are so many colors to work with and then some. Island Indigo ended up being my “anchoring” color, using it on my right-hand strip and for the banner which I’ve inked in with a Gorgeous Grunge stamp. I’ve also used some of those stamps on the right-hand strip and over the sun also.

Mojo355 - All Abloom Sunshine - Banners and Leaves - JIFThe leaves were from the wonderful new Flower Frenzy Bigz L Die-Cut with Crumb Cake Cardstock. The sun was created with a Circle Framelit, the Triangle Punch in Hello Honey Cardstock and the circle template from the Essentials Paper Piercing Mat. The beautiful sentiment is from the Ray of Sunshine Stamp Set.

Colored Rhinestones

If you asked me what I liked MOST about the new Blendabilities is the fact they can permanently color the Basic Rhinestone Jewels!

On the card below the Basic Rhinestone Jewels at both the top and bottom of the card were colored with the Cherry Cobbler Dark Blendability Pen. The color in real-life is far more intense than this scan is letting on. Note to self: NEVER EVER again scan a card!

Giggle Greetings - Bowl of Cherries Black White - JIF

This stamp is from the Giggle Greetings Stamp Set with that black and white background being a card from the… you guessed it… the Project Life Everyday Card Collection, lol!

This is a good example though how color changes an image. You may or may not remember I used this same image on Tuesday but with a different background, it looks almost like a completely different card.

Giggle Greetings!

There was no one sighing a greater sigh of relief than myself when I saw the Giggle Greetings Stamp Set had been carried over to the new Annual Catalog. It’s another fun set that I really hadn’t played with much… until now.

It would appear these new Blendabilities have opened a whole new world to me. Oh and that Moonlight DSP Stack has helped a bit also, tee hee! 🙂

This pussy-cat stamp would HAVE to be my favorite stamp of the set.

Giggle Greetings - Fur Ball - JIFThen again, this crazy dog is pretty cool also. It’s not apparent from this picture but the Decorative Dots Embossing was actually reversed so instead of the dots standing tall, I had them facing down to create indentations of sorts. Then in Early Espresso Classic Ink a stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set was stamped.

Giggle Greetings - Chasing your Tail - JIFCheck out this next fun birthday stamp from the set. The DSP naturally is from the Moonlight DSP Stack and under that there is the smallest layer of yellow swirls. This was a card from the Project Life Everyday Cards Collection which I have used as a layer to give the white on the DSP a definitive edge.

And last but by no means least, life’s bowl of cherries finished off nicely with a Cherry Cobbler Seam Ribbon bow!
