Sending Good Thouhts Your Way!

Isn’t it amazing how quickly one’s routine goes out the window once Spring Break is officially here?! And trust me, it wasn’t from a lack of trying to keep on track as I’m not sure just how early I printed off this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch but it did me no good as you can see, here it is Tuesday and I’m only just writing my post for Monday. 🙁

So let’s not delay things any further, here is this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch…

Mojo 337 SketchAnd here is my interpretation of the sketch…

Sending Good Thoughts - Mojo 337 - JIF

Epic Day This and That DSP was the basis for this card onto the Whisper White Cardstock, that was the easy part. Even the Very Vanilla Cardstock came together well with the stamping-off of two stamp sets – Off the Grid and The Open Sea – then sponged with Gumball Green Classic Ink.

When it came to both the sentiment and the flowers/embellishments I didn’t have a clue. Many different things were attempted and rejected until I reached for the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set, realizing I had both sentiment and embellishments all in one with the strips of dots and stripes… phew! 🙂

Then as the card was becoming more masculine, instead of flowers for the embellishments I chose the Simply Star Stamp Set. All of which were stamped in the Calypso Coral Classic Ink.

Once assembled the Whisper White Base seemed too stark in comparison to the almost grunge appearance of the DSP so stamped off the little start from Banner Blast Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set in So Saffron Classic Ink.

Oh no, I’ve used it again, I can’t believe it! I’ve used a design from the Soho Subway DSP yet again but it was just what I required as a background layer don’t you think?! I just love this card as it’s very clean compared to my usual style of creating yet it still looks busy enough for me if that makes sense.

Thank so much Soho Subway

The Papaya Collage Stamp Set is just so versatile. The butterfly does require some fussy-cutting but with a pearl in the center is very effective. The frame I stamped onto the Whisper White in stamped-off Early Espresso Classic Ink then in Gumball Green stamped the fern inside the frame.

The sentiment I chose from the Oh, Hello Stamp Set using Raspberry Ripple which I also used to sponge the sides before using Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere to the card.
