Santa Stache

Posted on

After all the fun I had creating the tree ornaments with the Santa Stache Stamp Set last week, I’ve chosen it for this week’s 2-4-Tuesday cards.

Santa was my first choice and I couldn’t resist using snowflakes from the Under the Tree Specialty DSP (I wish I could buy a dozen sheets of JUST this) as his background, with red snowflakes from the Trim the Tree DSP Stack under those with Old Olive Cardstock as the final border.

Initially I die-cut just the Mustache Framelit from the Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper but I couldn’t stop there. I then punched a scallop circle of Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper for Santa’s beard!

For the next card I went with more snowflakes from the Trim the Tree DSP Stack for under the Nutcracker but I also stamped “nutty or nice” over the Baked Brown Sugar Cardstock background. This card also gave me the opportunity to use the All is Calm Snowflake Embellishments as charms!

Santa’s Stache

Today I’ve turned the Gift Card Envelope into ornaments for the Christmas Tree. For both ornaments I used the same design but changed up the color schemes slightly. The finishing touch was coating them both in Crystal Effects to give them the same epoxy effect found on stickers.

Onto a Melon Mambo Cardstock base, snowflakes were heat-embossed from the gorgeous Endless Wishes Stamp Set. The Nutcracker obviously from the fun Santa Stache Stamp Set with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper used to die-cut the Mustache Framelit.

For a more masculine look I chose Real Read Cardstock as the base. Onto the Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper I used the lightest Smoky Slate Blendabilities to match the Smoky Slate I used on the Nutcracker’s hair and eye-brows. Both Nutcrackers were colored using the Blendabilities.
