Fond Farewell… Colour #7…

Posted on

Oh good grief… what is it with males and dinner time? My darling husband has been sitting here on the couch with me for the last half an hour…  watching all the while whilst I’ve been getting dinner ready and now that it is ready… HELLO, where is everybody? He best not ever accuse ME of doing this ever again!

Every time I sneaked yet another taste of my fabulous Red Curry Beef and Pumpkin curry he certainly noticed. He was watching like a hawk when I started the rice doing the absorption method (I don’t deny I have experienced the odd failure with rice). And when I licked the spoon after doing the Coriander & Mint Yogurt he was watching… but NOW? I could scream… But let’s face it, we could ponder this question until the end of time and still be none the wiser so I’ll move on, gnashing my teeth all the while.

Today I’ll be short and sweet, just like my example of the Fond Farewell to Colour #7 – Cameo Coral. I mean no offence to anyone but this is one of the few colours I just could NOT connect with. I don’t know why but just the mere mention of it could send me running and judging by the fact this is all I could find with this colour I must have given it away. (I hope so as I’ll be distraught if I find in the coming months piles of stashed away somewhere!) Hence there’s not a lot of it on this card. I’ve used it for the Twirled Flowers with a smidge of dazzling diamonds of course!

Along with these flowers, my favourite part of this card I have to admit is the white picket fence. All it is is the tiny tag punch out of Stampin’ Up’s! latest mini (but I can tell you, it’ll be in the new catologue also!).

I thought I may leave you with a joke today…

Why did the sea monster eat five ships that were carrying potatoes?
No one can eat just one potato ship!

Oh, and have yourself an... Inkee Fiddling Day!

It feels as if the weather is mirroring my life at the moment. Oh, and DON’T get me started on the fridge, what an ongoing saga… and as for my darling duo… just how many colds and coughs can two children possibly have in one year… glory be

My darling husband gave me two days in bed this past week-end as an early birthday present after all the drama with the fridge but as much I absolutely adored it (yes I read an ENTIRE book on Saturday – it was simply glorious) I have to admit now that its been all the more difficult for me to get motivated as I’m more behind then ever and just don’t know where to begin!

On saying that though I did vacuum and tidy all upstairs before breakfast this morning. I even cleaned the pot belly stove out of all its ashes this morning in readiness for the cold, miserable day that it was outside but after spending nearly five hours in the kitchen cooking, heating was NOT a problem upstairs. What can I say… I had a pumpkin and wasn’t afraid to use it… TWELVE meals later thank you very much!

Of course this meant my list of things that required my attention down in the studio weren’t even looked at and I’ve only just snuck down to the footpath in my pj’s with the rubbish bins but finally… here is the cute little Christmas basket I made at my last workshop.

I’ve now decided that this is going to be my gift for my children’s teachers this term albeit in plain card-stock that I’ll stamp. I’ve yet to decide just what I’ll put into the basket but that’s a minor detail!

Oh, and have yourself an... Inkee Fiddling Day!
