Snowflake Card Thinlit

Posted on

This was love at first-sight, the Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies, it is SO gorgeous PLUS it co-ordinates with the Letterpress Winter Stamp Set as well as the Circles Collection Framelits!

For my first card with this Snowflake Card I also used some of the beautiful All is Calm Specialty DSP, All is Calm Designer Washi Tape, as well as some of the beautiful new Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper from the Annual Catalog.

Snowflake Thinlet - Letterpress - JIF

These snowflakes also gave me the opportunity to try out the new Transfer Adhesive Sheets. Adhesive Sheets whereby you lay down on the wrong-side what you wish to adhere, rub over the item thus creating your own “sticker” as such. Too easy!

Cardstock: Whisper White
Stamp Set: Letterpress Winter
DSP: All is Calm Specialty
Glimmer Paper: Dazzling Diamonds
Embossing: Pool Party Embossing Powder, Versamark, Heat Gun
Washi Tape: All is Calm

Sticky Strip, Transfer Adhesive Sheet

Typeset Mojo Monday!

Posted on

In my defense I would like to point out that my card WAS in fact completed last night for this week’s Mojo Monday challenge but I was too exhausted to post anything last night. I’m awake now though and here is my card…

Mojo356 - Typeset Black and Vanilla - JIF

This is this week’s sketch from Mojo Monday.

Mojo356

Although the actual card base was Whisper White Cardstock, after I chose the DSP from the Typeset Pack, I bordered it with Very Vanilla Cardstock. Both the DSP and cardstock were sponged with Crumb Cake Classic Ink.

Using the Very Vanilla 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon to create a ribbon rosette finished off with a Pearl Basic Jewel in the center. And yes, I am working on the Ribbon Bundles, soon I promise, if only there was more hours in the day. 🙁

Mojo356 - Typeset Black and Vanilla - Pearl Flower - JIF

For the ruching across the card I used some of the beautiful new Very Vanilla 5/8″ Satin Ribbon – I am SO glad this is part of Stampin’ Up’s! ribbon selection now as it’s so wonderful to work with.

In regards to the Ribbon Bundles, I promise I’ll get to it by week’s end and have prices posted for you – many thanks for your patience – it’s much appreciated.

Moonlight Mojo!

MOJO MONDAY time and here is my interpretation of this week’s sketch!

Moonlight Mojo349

And this is the sketch from Mojo Monday

Mojo349SketchFor today sketch the Moonlight DSP Stack was my inspiration as my background, bottom strip and even that side of arrows on the left! The Everything Eleanor Stamp Set was perfect for filling in the rest. The flowers I particularly like, especially when highlighted with a little color using an Aqua Painter and some Basic Pearl Jewels!

Everything Elenor - Pearl Flowers - Mojo349 - JIF

The cardstock used, Blueberry Bliss and Hello Honey, are both from the new 2014-2016 In-Color collection. For the ribbon, although knowing what it was I was hoping to achieve, I’d have to admit it wasn’t my finest work (nor is the photography for that matter, lol!) yet is still effective on this card. By the way, this is the new Hello Honey 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon. Nice huh?

Fast Friday with Sale-a-bration!

Posted on

Seriously, I’m beginning to wonder how I EVER survived before Framelits Dies and Punches came into my life! This next card came together all on its own thanks to these two items and the Sweet Sorbet DSP from Sale-a-Bration. This DSP really does make card creating easy!

On a Pistachio Pudding Cardstock base I added some Sweet Sorbet DSP – both of which I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake Classic Ink. One-third up from the bottom I adhered two strips of Crisp Cantaloupe 3/8″ Ruffled Stretch Trim with a stamped sentiment from the You’re Lovely Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set in Crisp Cantaloupe Classic Ink onto Crisp Cantaloupe Cardstock which has the sentiment punched out with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch. Two pearls finishing it off.

I was SOOOOO close!!!

Posted on

Wow, I was this close, this close to having this card completed and posted last night until I remembered why I didn’t use the glue I had used last night very much anymore, choosing instead to always use sticky strip. It was of course the drying time, ugh! It all came back to me like a charging bull. 🙁

Anyways, one thing has led to another and here it is, NOT even first thing this morning rather late at night but regardless, here I am finally posting it. The basis of my card is this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch 323.

Mojo 323 Sketch

This is my card but I should warn you first not EVERYTHING is Stampin’ Up! PLUS I’ve utilized a couple of retired DSPs. On this occasion I’ve gone with the “feel”, not the product so I hope you can forgive me. (And it’s for my mother’s birthday next month!)

Mojo323 - JIF - Happy Birthday Enjoy!

The striped paper I’ve used is from last year’s SU Regals Designer Series Paper Stack which I’ve stamped Flowering Flourishes in that wonderful Illuminate Ink, both from this year’s Annual Catalog. Then I’ve replaced the thread over the DSP shown on the Mojo Sketch with strings of pearls sprouting from either end of the labels which have had the edges sponged in Crumb Cake.

Both of these labels have been cut from the same sized frame-lit, the difference being the Pink Pirouette cardstock was then cut in half so there would be a little showing on either end with the pointed middles snipped off.

The flowers were bought months and months ago from the local Dollar Store, and the light-bulb, well… that was the result of some late night shopping following a scrapbooking crop… need I say more. 🙂Mojo323 - JIF - Enjoy

Of course it’s only now as I look at the card I realize the weight I’ve put in it isn’t the best for posting, lol!

CARD RECIPE
Cardstock: Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
Ink: Illuminate, Crumb Cake, Versamark
Stamp Sets: Flowering Flourishes, Sassy Salutations
DSP: Retired Stock
Big Shot: Labels Collection
Embossing Powder: White
Embellishments: Pearl Basic Jewels
Essentials: Paper Cutter, Paper Snips, Sticky Strip, Heat Gun,
Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Sponges
Other Suppliers: Pearl Strings, Light Bulb
