Not ALL Banners are banners!

Posted on

One of the choices with Sale-a-Bration 2014 is this wonderful Heartfelt Banner Designer Kit. When choosing this, I had full intentions of creating the banner but somewhere between opening the kit and sitting down to create the kit, I lost all the canvas banners, lol!

After a good look around I managed to find ONE piece of canvas. I have NO idea what’s become of them which is so frustrating but regardless, instead of creating a banner I made a card with banners from the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set and Language of Love Stamp Set. The Sweet Sorbet DSP is also from the 2014 Sale-a-Bration.

You’re Lovely in Pink!

Posted on

For a Fast Friday, it’s taking me longer to write this post than it did to make the card – what’s with THAT, lol?! Sadly, it really has become one of THOSE weeks. 🙁

Plus it would seem this week I’m in a very “pink” frame of mind. Not sure why, perhaps its a Ying/Yang thing, but after last week always reaching for the Bermuda Bay, this week I’m turning to pink. And if that’s not bad enough, I’ve CASE’d a card almost as exactly AS IS. Honestly, this seldom EVER happens with me. Habit has me changing most everything without even realizing it!

Are you familiar with this term – CASEing? Copy And Share Everything! It’s very acceptable in card-making although card etiquette does ask that credit is given where credit is due. In this CASE (pardon the pun but it had to be said, lol) it was Sharon Cheng, one VERY talented lady.

Now, without further ado here is MY card, lol!

Youre Lovely in Pink!

Talk about a great way to use up your scraps as all the colored cardstock came from my scrap-stash. Even the piece of White Vellum Cardstock came from my scraps. I love how this You’re Lovely stamp from the Sale-a-Bration selection compliments the Deco Labels Collections Dies.

Also, if you’re wanting to try this card yourself, the width of my strips from left to right were – 4cm, 3.5cm, 3cm and 2.5cm. The length is at your own discretion.

CARD RECIPE
Cardstock: Whisper White, Rose Red, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals,
Strawberry Slush, Pink Pirouette
Stamp Set: You’re Lovely (Sale-a-Bration 2014)
Classic Ink: Melon Mambo

Framelits: Deco Labels Collection, Envelope Liners
Embossing Folder: Decorative Dots (Sale-a-Bration 2014)
Embellishments: Rhinestones Basic Jewels
Essentials: Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips, Big Shot, Sticky Strip,
Medium White Envelope, Stampin’ Dimensionals

With fresh snow falling outside I know I’M going to have a WONDERFULLY productive week-end – wishing you one also!

The Open Sea on Sweet Sorbet!

Posted on

As I’ve mentioned MANY times before, having being born beautiful instead of rich (yes, I can laugh at myself – although these days it’s more jiggling than giggling) I tend to save EVERYTHING. Eventually it all becomes useful.

My size determiner is the usability of the products. Ribbon for example have to be long enough to either fit across a two-inch wide tag which thus in-turn makes it’s large enough to be used on the end of sentiment, tag or such.

Open Sea - Ribbon Scraps - JIF

For cardstock and DSP, my smallest punch is the determiner. Thus if I can put a scrap into a punch – I save it. Note the small punched circle on the tag above, seriously who wants to lose a sheet of fresh cardstock to that small-fry?!

As exemplified on the card below, the scrap doesn’t even have to fit the punch completely. Don’t you just love the Sahara Sand Cardstock which compliments this sheet of DSP from Sweet Sorbet perfectly?

Scrap-tastic Sale-a-BrationThis DSP is just one of the many delights which can be yours FREE during Sale-a-Bration 2014 when you spend $60 or more. EVERY $60 you spend you receive something FREE! Contact me soon to book your workshop, which by the way, I’m happy to host here down in the Inkee Fiddling Studio. All you need do is bring your friends and the snacks. Too easy huh?!

This week’s specials!

Posted on

Here are this weeks specials – current until Monday 24th February!

A couple of items in particular I’d like to draw your attention too, the first being a great favorite of mine, the In-Color Dahlias. Remember, these are 2012-2014 In-Color’s hence will no longer be available after May 31 so NOW could definitely be the time to ensure they are in your stash. 🙂

Also on sale this week is the 3/16″ Corner Punch. If you are anything like me with a habit of “rounding” every right-angle corner in sight, now could be a good opportunity to get another that fresh and sharp!

Weekly Sale Items avaiilable until Monday 24 February 2014

And don’t even get me started on the DSP or the embossing folder for that matter which is a great go-to particularly at Christmas. Talk about being spoilt for choice, and don’t forget we are still celebrating Sale-a-Bration which has you earning a free something extra for every $60 you spend!

Call me soon to place your order or better yet, make the most of Sale-a-Bration and book a workshop where as a hostess you receive an additional $40 worth of product as soon as your TOTAL party sales reach $200. Translated it means your hostess reward is $70 of FREE PRODUCTS to choose from either catalog… WOO HOO!

And don’t think for one moment you couldn’t or wouldn’t have enough friends as all you really need is just a couple of friends needing to top-up their stash and you have yourself a party – too easy. It’s great fun – I’ll demonstrate a little something at your workshop then have kits for all your group so they have the opportunity to have an “inkee fiddling”, creating something for themselves!

To contact me either telephone me on – 250-632-7248 or email me at – inkeefiddlings@gmail.com – look forward to chatting soon! 🙂
