Lotus Blossom (SAB)

Posted on

Of all the stamp sets in this year’s Sale-a-Bration Catalog, this set is the most popular by far. And why not? The Lotus Blossom Stamp Set is not only beautiful but just so versatile.

The first I used with the Calypso Coral colors to challenge myself by stepping right out of my comfort zone, teaming it with the Bow Builder Punch found on page 13 of the Occasions Catalog.

Having challenged myself I then rewarded myself by using my pinks – Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette. Finishing it with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and a Something Borrowed Embellishment on page 42 then framing it all with Old Olive Cardstock.

Isn’t it the Lotus Blossom a beautiful stamp set and so worth spending $60 – think embellishments, ribbons and glitter – to earn it as a free product during Sale-a-Bration 2015.

Artisan Embellishment Kit

Posted on

As I said last week, I’m ADORING this Artisan Embellishment Kit that is available on page 27 of the Occasions Catalog. I find it REALLY hard not team it up with the Butterfly Thinlets!

Artisan Embellishments - Hardwood - JIF

What I found interesting was the Rosette Trim available in this kit. When I first looked at it, to me it seemed more apricot in color hence teamed in with the Calypso Coral Cardstock (although this photo makes it look almost orange!), sorry.

Artisan Embellishments - White Bark - JIF

Then when I was looking up the kit in the catalog to order another one, I noticed that they called it Blushing Bride Rosette Trim so… teamed it with Blushing Bride Cardstock instead!

Doesn’t the Rosette Trim look completely different when teamed with the two different colors, incredible isn’t?

You Brighten My Day

When I first looked at the Sale-a-Bration Catalog I knew I had to have this, the You Brighten My Day Stamp Set. In this first card some of the beautiful velvet ribbon from the Artisan Embellishment Kit frames the Whisper White Cardstock against the Crumb Cake Cardstock.

You Brighten My Day - Blueberry Bliss - JIF

The light bulb stamp SHONE out at me, lol, so just HAD to team it up with the Silver Glimmer Paper for both the frame and the stars!

Only $60 needs to be spent and you can earn yourself this wonderfully fun stamp set – WIN WIN all around really isn’t it?!

Adventure Bound DSP Stack

Posted on

The Adventure Bound DSP Stack is something very different to what you normally see on offer from Stampin’ Up! Some of the designs are photo-like which really had my head-spinning.

One in particular, the picture of sun streaming down into the forest, really did my head in hence I challenged myself to use it. Here they are…

Adventure Bound - Paned Windwon - JIF

This next design is something I’ve wanted to try for the longest time but could never settle on a stamp to use. Well, this DSP certainly solved this problem.

Adventure Bound - Simply Wonderful - JIF

My last card utilized the top of the sheet above. As you know I like to utilize every little piece of DSP and Cardstock I have with this piece being NO different. The wood-paneling is also from the Adventure Bound DSP.

Adventure Bound - Curtains - JIF

I’m lovin’ this Sahara Sand 7/8″ Lace Trim. There’s no denying, when you first look at it you are reminded of the lace on your Grandma’s well-worn old knickers but it takes on a new life when teamed with all the beautiful colors from Stampin’ Up!
