Language of Love Trio!

How is it that I went almost TWO YEARS without realizing how fabulous Summer Starfruit and Rich Razzleberry look together?

Language of Love - Stary Summerfruit - JIFEven going for a more masculine look works with this stamp set.

language of Love - Soho Summerfruit - JIFAnd naturally the set lends itself to an anniversary or wedding card. For this next card I combined both dry and heat embossing for quite the stunning result with more of my left-over Silver Glimmer Strips!

Eggstra Spectacular!

Posted on

With Spring Break almost over it’s now time to begin preparations for Easter. I can never work out if it’s a good thing or a bad thing when Easter falls in late April.

Whatever the dates for Easter though, cards are still required and what better set is there then the gorgeous set in the Occasions Catty, the Eggstra Spectacular Stamp Set (yup, I may just have kicked the Spring Catty habit but no promises, lol!) ! Seriously, how cute is this?

Eggstra Spectacular - the cutest Easter set EVER!

With a couple of items which are still available from Sale-a-Bration, combined with paper from the  Fresh Prints DSP Stack, the end result is the cutest Easter card!

Then for some reason I once AGAIN (even I’m beginning to get tired of this) reached for the Summer Starfruit Cardstock, pairing it with the Silver Heat Embossing – making it very regal indeed!

My next card actually came together quite by accident as there were a couple of the tags from the Sale-a-Bration Designer Banner Kit on my table and, well… this goes with this goes with this and voila! How cute is that little bunny I ask you? 🙂 Eggstra Spectacular - Banner Kit - JIF

As you can see, that Designer Banner Kit is quite versatile so if you haven’t obtained one for yourself yet, there’s still just under a week before 2014 Sale-a-Bration concludes so please, PLEASE call me today to place your order – 250-632-7248.

Happy Watercolor in Green!

Posted on

Goodness me, I began this post almost 12 hours ago but was side-tracked with non-working speakers on my computer. An easy fix I first thought but I fear after down-loading every possible solution, resetting the computer from three weeks ago and then doing a complete computer file scan, I am still in silence. 🙁

Fortunately when I took my Happy Watercolor stamp set out the other day I had much better luck. I seemed to have challenged myself with these cards also with the color green. Can’t tell you why this happened but as green isn’t a color I would normally chose I obviously pushed myself.

This is my favorite card. I thought I’d CASE’d it from the Spring Catty but perhaps it was another magazine from Stampin’ Up! Regardless, it’s a lovely card where I stamped the poppy twice onto Raspberry Ripple Cardstock then fussy-cut it them both out, adhering one with a dimensional onto the other before adhering flat against the card itself. I also stamped another poppy onto Summer Starfruit Cardstock and fussy-cut just the center to place inside the Raspberry Ripple.Happy Watercolor - Red Poppy - JIFFor the next card I wanted to utilize some of the beautiful Delicate Details Lace Tape. This tape comes in a pack of  two designs and is self-adhesive, making it VERY easy to add a little “something” to your projects without much fuss. For this card I used the Gumball Green Core’dinations but as stamping onto that cardstock isn’t the best, I flipped the cardstock so one could see the texture but wasn’t impeded by it.

Happy Watercolor - White Lace - JIFAs painful as it is to fussy-cut, I couldn’t resist trying it again but this time using the Summer Starfruit Cardstock. Once again, I stamped the poppy in Black StazOn to give a much richer color. The poppies were also stamped in Black StazOn onto the card whereby I “filled” the centers with the fussy-cut images then added a rhinestone and some Dazzling Diamonds. All very effective if I do say so myself, and yes, I do say so myself, lol!

You Make Me Happy!

Posted on

It’s Mojo Monday time and here is this week’s sketch…

Mojo 335 SketchThis is my take on the sketch. As you can see, with the countdown on until the end of Sale-a-Bration this month, I’m making the most of all the wonderful selections there are this year!

Mojo 335 - You Make me Happy - JIFThe three stripes I had created for last weeks challenge and after spending an hour this afternoon looking for just the right color, decided this was what the card needed as I didn’t really want a girlie-girl card. And of course this all had to be run through the Sale-a-Bration’s Decorative Dots Embossing Folder!

Onto the Basic Gray Cardstock I stamped with Basic Gray Classic Ink the arrow from the Petals Parade Stamp Set. I also used the semi-circle “leaf-like” stamp from this set for the Summer Starfruit Cardstock background.

Mojo 335 - Petal Parade Background - JIFThe leaves I punched in Pistachio Pudding Core’dinations from the Bird Builder Punch then did some accordion folding with a strip of the Pistachio to create the Paper Ribbon. The finishing touch was a cork flower from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Kit from which I also added a couple of the arrow pieces to the sentiment. This too is from Sale-a-Bration, the See Ya Later Stamp Set which I stamped and sponged in Summer Starfruit Classic Ink.
