We’re just moments away…

from Miss Six becoming Miss Seven and what a day it’s been. It was quite the early start again this morning ensuring the cake was iced and decorated before we left the house. Of course before the cake could be looked at the gift bag for Little Sister’s bag had to be made whilst all was quiet. I was quite chuffed how the bag turned out… very basic but a great substitute for a bought bag. Hopefully I can remember to take a photo of it tomorrow before the day erupts!

Yesterday morning was an early start completing the card I had started for young miss months ago. I know, you are shaking your head going “oh sure” but I honestly did as I found the most delightful silver fairy embellishment at the Paper Craft show back in February. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it for young miss. Making it work though was much easier said then done. I even brought in the big guns of Master Eight but he only confused things. This was the end result…

I’m hoping young miss will be delighted with it. She was more then happy with the set-up of her birthday table, as was I must admit. I can’t say I heard any of the same gasps of delights from her little guests this evening on seeing it but on saying that, one little miss did remark having dinner was like sitting in a restaurant so I guess I can take that as a compliment. This is how it looked BEFORE we had guests…

I can say however that the cake was a huge success. We finally managed one of those giant cupcake moulds. I did make the silly error of judgement  of putting in two completely different cake mixes into each side. It never dawned on me the different cooking times until the very moment I placed the mould into the oven… DANG... needless to say I had to redo the top, chocolate section…

And now I look at the time and here it is… a life-time in the making… Happy 7th Birthday Miss Milly!

Oh, and have yourself an... Inkee Fiddling Day!
