Hearts Come Home

Posted on

Truly, I couldn’t get my hands on this Hearts Come Home Stamp Set on page 101 of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, along with the coordinating Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies on page 218 quick enough. Both sets are simply gorgeous!

There’s no denying it was a little tricky with those edgelits dies having all those intricate little cut-outs but it’s soooo worth the time. Oh to begin creating entire villages with them!

There’s still time place an order and receive it before Christmas if your schedule has you making cards at the last moment – call or email me today with your order!

I’m not going to lie, this Christmas Pines Stamp Set has got to be one of my favorite Christmas carry-overs in the Annual Catalog. That background stamp of stars is simply glorious and the thinlets – WOW!

The Christmas Pines Stamp Set with a total of 22 photopolymer stamps, many of which could be used for things other that Christmas, is on page 96 of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. The matching Pretty Pines Thinlets are on page 219.

There are endless possibilities with the Christmas Pines Stamp Set and Pretty Pines Thinlets both for Christmas and other times of the year. A worthwhile addition to your stash if you don’t already have them!

Time to think Christmas!

Posted on

People often laugh at me when I say I’m beginning my Christmas cards in August but as we all know, once August rolls into September, times flies by. School begins, for us we have leave, there’s Halloween, then with Christmas preparations and parties, it’s Christmas!

Now, let me clarify something here, when I say I’m BEGINNING my Christmas cards what I’m saying is I’m designing and deciding what products I’ll use, noting how many cards are required and how I’ll “pose” the children this time. I’m not physically sitting down and making them although I do have intentions year of doing so, lol! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! released “A” stamp set last month to whet our appetites and get the old grey matter bubbling with ideas in readiness for the release of the holiday catty at the end of this month.  Here is the teaser set that’s available now…

Beauty of the Season

How beautiful is this set? It’s the perfect set for your Aqua Pens or even your Blendabilities. It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

How color can change things…

Posted on

Preparing for a workshop last week which was focusing on heat embossing, I had the best time creating. I just couldn’t decide what design would be best so kept creating until it “felt” right.

This was one of my first creations. I just love how the silver embossing is so striking on the white vellum cardstock which I’ve then mounted on the silver glimmer paper. Of course, just a smidge of Cherry Cobbler always adds to the Christmas feel with the sentiment from Sassy Salutations finishing it off nicely!

Joyful Christmas - Silver - JIF

Having made the card in silver and white, I couldn’t resist trying it in a combination of Very Vanilla and Gold Embossing. The red this time was the red glimmer paper behind the flowers that had been fussy cut and mounted upon it. Aren’t my gold “balls” just the best, lol? I was determined to have gold balls in the center of my flower so I bunched up a mini glue-dot and doused it with gold glitter!

Joyful Christmas - Red - JIF

The final design used for the “Make & Take” was a combination of the two cards with Very Vanilla as the base but using Silver and Cherry Cobbler. The Frosted Finishes Embellishment completing the fussy-cut flowers perfectly.  At first I was concerned it may have been a tad plain but I’m relieved to say the ladies were MORE than happy with it, making me EXTREMELY happy! 😉
