Balloon Celebration

Posted on

Honestly, this Balloon Celebration Stamp Set has been sitting on my stamp shelf for longer then I care to admit. With this in mind, I’ve made myself now use all my current unused stamp sets before buying any more. Talk about incentive!

Initially I found this collection of stamps making no sense and almost off-putting. However once I began stamping everything changed. I now see this set covers so many ages and therefore so many styles. I love it!

The Balloon Celebration Stamp Set is found on page 74 of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, with the coordinating Balloon Bouquet Punch located on page 210.

Flourishing Phrases

Posted on

After using the Flourishing Phrase Stamp Set for merely the sentiments last month, it seemed only appropriate to use the stamp set for an actual card or two. This is truly, truly a beautiful stamp set.

As you can see, your cards can be as simple as you want, or quite easily stepped up for something a little more intricate. Isn’t it interesting how colors can change the feel of a card so quickly?

The Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set is on page 18 of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, with the coordinating Flourish Thinlets on page 217 and the Leaf Punch on page 211. LOVE this Leaf Punch, particularly with the Vellum on page 192!

Christmas Pines

Posted on

This is the last week for challenging myself to make a non-Christmas card from a Christmas stamp set. This time I’m using the Christmas Pines Stamp Set.

Thank You was fussy-cut after heat embossing. It was well-worth the effort don’t you think? The Christmas Pines Stamp Set is located on page 96 of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.

The sentiments came from two different stamp sets – Thank You is from the Flourishing Phrases as used last week on page 18, whilst the Oh Happy Day is from the Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set on page 57. The coordinating Duet Banner Punch is on page 211.

Also, this is the last week to take advantage of the Buy 3, Get 1 Free Promotion currently on until next Tuesday, July 31 (my birthday… hint, hint!)

Labels to Love!

Posted on

Admittedly, on wanting to get an early head-start on my Christmas cards this year, I was going to dedicate this month to Christmas in July. This then had me wondering about other uses for these stamp sets that tend to sit idly for a good part of the year.

And although I’m still making Christmas cards, I’m also now looking at how to create cards for other occasions with what is at first glance Christmas sets.

The first of my challenges is with the Labels to Love Stamp Set (page 103 2018-2019 Annual Catalog) with the matching Everyday Label (page 211 2018-2019 Annual Catalog).

The Labels to Love Stamp Set lends itself most obviously to tags but has many possibilities for beautiful simple Christmas cards as well. One thing at a time though so more about that later!

Happy belated Canada Day and Happy Independence Day – hope you’re enjoying the beginning of the summer here in the Northern Hemisphere!

Daisy Delight!

It has taken me so long to get to the Daisy Delight Stamp Set and co-ordinating Daisy Punch that I’m embarrassed to say how long these two cards took me. Suffice to say, it was a LONG time!

There are 16 photopolymer stamps in this stamp set that allow for a lot of creativity… once both your imagination and creativity kicks in!
