Go on… Push the Envelope… DARE YOU!

Last week I was like a woman possessed with my Envelope Punch Board – not making envelopes of course – that was way too obvious. Instead, I was seeing just what else I could do with this item besides collecting dust on my shelves, lol!

This is just a few of things created. My sincere apologizes for the poor photography – I’m fighting off the beginnings of the flu I fear so am not firing on all cylinders you might say – hence settings aren’t as wonderful as I’d like!

Push the Envelope CreationsThe 3″x3″ Card Envelope is so quick and easy but why the 1-1/4″ punched hole you ask? For the wine of course! How often have you taken a bottle or two of wine with you to someone’s house but  to wrap or bag the wine would be overkill? Well, this I think is the perfect solution!

Then by simply adding an inch to all the measurements you have the cutest, and once again the easiest, little box to house four 3″x 3″ Gift Cards!

Then whilst working on a 4-1/2″x 6-1/2″ box for some regular-sized cards I stuck the sides down with sticky strip without aligning both sides of the box first. Possibly no one would have noticed but I knew I would so by simply cutting the top off the box, adding some lovely Sweet Sorbet DSP and matching ribbon it was all good. Looking at it now I think a handle would complete it nicely!

This is my latest FAV – the Envelope Punch Board – and not so much for making envelopes but for making an assortment of boxes – stay tuned for those on another occasion!Push The Envelope Punch Board! This item, although only being offered on-line at present, has proven so popular that it’s thought it will be added to the Annual Catalog due out June 1st. Guess it’s not just me that’s loving the Envelope Punch Board!

It’s just NEVER easy is it?!

All my great plans for today down in the Studio completely went out the window at 7.30 this morning when Boy Child woke me reminding me I was taking he and his mates fishing at 8am. By the time I had them delivered to the river I had just enough time to change cars to take the mower in for a service, do a grocery shop, unpack the groceries, buy some BBQ chickens, collect the boys, drop all the boys off at each of their homes for a shower and change of clothes before collecting them once again to bring back to my place for lunch. Then they left.

At this point one would like to think I could then retreat downstairs but alas I then had to clean up from lunch, wash and dry up, think about dinner and of course Girl Child couldn’t possibly have what the rest of us had for lunch, oh no. So once her lunch was made and eaten we had to race down town for her optometry appointment then some more shopping.

Then I had some time in the Studio but my heart wasn’t it so all I managed was my first attempt at an envelope with the new Envelope Punch Board which I have to say, is rather marvelous. It is so VERY simple to use!

My first attempt at an envelope!Naturally I didn’t follow the sizing of the paper required as I didn’t want to use a “fresh” piece of DSP, consequently my envelope has a lot of additional score lines but I’ve attempted to make them part of the card. This is the information once again on the Envelope Punch Board.

Pushing the Envelope!

Something very exciting arrived from Stampin’ Up this week – it’s the new Envelope Punch Board. How cool is this?

Pushing the Envelope!

It comes with the best scorer AND has both the corner punch and the reverse punch. I was hoping to have an assortment of envelopes made to show this evening but alas, time has run away from me today. Hopefully by Friday I’ll have some samples for you!

The Envelope Punch Board is available now from Stampin’ Up! so call me today (250-632-7248) to place your order, or if you’d simply like to come around to get “up close and personal” with it. It’s so cool! 🙂
