The Open Sea on Sweet Sorbet!

Posted on

As I’ve mentioned MANY times before, having being born beautiful instead of rich (yes, I can laugh at myself – although these days it’s more jiggling than giggling) I tend to save EVERYTHING. Eventually it all becomes useful.

My size determiner is the usability of the products. Ribbon for example have to be long enough to either fit across a two-inch wide tag which thus in-turn makes it’s large enough to be used on the end of sentiment, tag or such.

Open Sea - Ribbon Scraps - JIF

For cardstock and DSP, my smallest punch is the determiner. Thus if I can put a scrap into a punch – I save it. Note the small punched circle on the tag above, seriously who wants to lose a sheet of fresh cardstock to that small-fry?!

As exemplified on the card below, the scrap doesn’t even have to fit the punch completely. Don’t you just love the Sahara Sand Cardstock which compliments this sheet of DSP from Sweet Sorbet perfectly?

Thinking of you… still!

This card came about quite by accident, all because of the way this DSP from the Print Poetry DSP Stack and the Very Vanilla looked together. Layered with the Just Thinking Stamp the effect is quite elegant I think.

Inkee Fiddlings - Thinking of You Friend - Very Vanilla Print Poetry

For ages now I’ve had the Adorning Accents Embossing Folders along with the corresponding Adorning Accents Edgelits so what better time to take them out for a test drive.

Inkee Fiddlings - Just Thinking - Adorning Edgelits

Added to this Just Thinking stamped twice in Midnight Muse then one die-cut with the Windows Frames Collection Framelits, the other I hand-cut the center, adding some Basic Pearl Jewels. Completing the card is some 7/16″ Trim Ribbon.

Postage Due!

Posted on

Today’s card is was inspired by the last of my Mustard and Not Quite Navy card-stock, both of which are being retired at the end of this week/month.

Inkee Fiddlings - Postage Due - Mustard Not Quite Navy

The combination of these two colors has always been a favorite of mine. The Night Quite Navy was run through the Big Shot to give it some depth. Added to this is the also retiring but also favorite stamp set, Postage Due, cut with the Labels Collection Framelits just adds to it all!

Inkee Fiddlings - Apothecary Art - Mustard Not Quite Navy

The die-cuts and the circle punch each have Stampin’ Dimensionals added to them. Each layer has had the colors alternated on them to carry the effect through.

The 7/16″ Trim Ribbon finishes the card off nicely I think.
